So, as you know i'm the founder of the Bridal Seamstress society, mentor to seamstresses, start ups, fashion grads and proud advocate for fair pay in the bridal sewing industry. Oh and a big fan of tea, fast motors and telling it how it is! :)
I've been in this industry for 30 years, fitting brides, building a six figure business from scratch and learning (sometimes the hard way), what it takes to make this work. And trust me, it hasn't always been a pretty picture. Like many of you, I've also had my experience of being undervalued and underpaid and I also brought an amazing skill to the table , I had no idea how to turn into success!
But everything changed when I stopped treating it like "just sewing" and started running it like a REAL business.
